Subject: File No. 4-637

I would like to know how corporations use their political contributions.

If corporations are going to play a role in our political system, I think it's important for the public to know their political positions. It seems important for the public to be able to decide which corporations we want to support, as that decisions plays an ever growing part in electing the representative of our choosing. If a corporation supports a candidate we do not support, we have to decide whether to support a corporation that is working against us.

So I strongly support the SEC issuing a rule in the near future that would require publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their spending on political activities.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,
