May 10, 2015
As a United States citizen and a shareholder, it is my right to know who is funding nasty political campaign advertisements on television. Publicly traded companies need to disclose their political contributions.
Please place a rule on the unified agenda by the end of May 2015 that will require disclosure of political spending, as laid out in file number 4-637. This rule is absolutely necessary in order to curtail the pernicious influence of wealthy donors and corporations corrupting our democracy.
The SEC must step up and promote fairness and transparency in the interest of saving our democracy.
