SEC

I am deeply concerned about the influence of corporate money on our electoral process.

In particular, I am appalled that, because of the Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, publicly traded corporations can spend investors' money in secret.

I am writing to urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose ALL their political spending, at the very least.  Corporations are NOT people and they are NOT citizens, and therefore, they have NO rights under our constitution.  They should NOT be able to donate ANY money at all to political campaigns or candidates.  They should NOT be able to influence our political process with monetary contributions/donations in ANY way, whatsoever.  That they are being permitted to do so, shows how far we have fallen from the original intent of the framer's of our constitution,  as well as the actual document itself, not to mention our Declaration of Independence.  The corrupt U.S. Supreme Court has disgraced and discredited itself beyond repair and should either be drastically reformed or abolished.  The current "justices"
who voted for the abominations of Citizen's United v. FEC, Buckely v.
Valeo and McHutcheon rulings must be impeached for corruption for openers.

Until this is accomplished, both shareholders and the public MUST be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked.  Disclosures must be posted promptly on the SEC's web site for all citizens to see.

Thank you for considering my comments on this matter of grave importance to our country and our future as free people.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

Donna McKee
