Dear Members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

It's long past time to end secret political spending by corporations.
So I strongly support the SEC issuing a rule in the near future that would require publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their spending on political activities.

Both shareholders and the public deserve to know how much a given corporation spends on politics (directly and through intermediaries), and which candidates are being promoted or attacked.****************************************************************************If you go back to the time of ancient Greek democracy, it's true that not all people could vote, just men with property..however, notice that this was MEN and not corporations, which I do hope you realize are not human. At the resent time, you will also note that a gaggle of one political party seems to want to limit voting to just white men. Sorry, the fact that thease fools are attempting this shows what a lack of grey matter they truly have. Personally the majority of Americans want every iinterested person to have the right to particiapte in their democratoc republic. These secret corporations hiding and spending their money is a violation of open government, and we all know that a CLOSED goverrnment system only benefits the secret actions of corporarations; THAT is not a demcoratic republic...merely a REPUGNANT form of corporate star chamber. We already had one GILDED AGE and it was truly a killer; why repeat THIS MISTAKE?************

Thank you for considering my comment.
