Securities and Exchange Commission

Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,

Like most middle class Americans, I am forced to invest in the stock market as long as financial manipulations keep the interest rates from plain vanilla savings accounts below the rate of inflation. As a result, I believe our democracy cannot survive unless we all know how the corporations that use our money are spending it to influence the political process. Please return rule #4-637 to the 2014 rulemaking agenda for immediate enactment. This rule, requiring public companies to disclose their political spending, gives the American public the opportunity to follow the money that funds political decisions affecting our environment and well-being. This is critical responsibility of the SEC to protect the public interest.

I believe the Commissioners can see from the sheer volume of comments that there is overwhelming public support for this rule. If it is not returned, please provide your justification.

Please enact rule #4-637. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ms. Valerie Gizinski
