Securities and Exchange Commission
Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,
I am writing to urge you to return rule #4-637 to the 2014 rulemaking
agenda for swift enactment. This rule, requiring public companies to
disclose political spending, is essential in order to make our policy
processes more transparent and hold companies accountable for their
political influence.
We, our friends, our neighbors, are upset, verging upon anger, at the
ridiculous legality of viewing corporations as people thereby allowing
them to 'donate' (read that as influence) funding far in excess of the
public's ability to do so and thereby often changing the outcome of
elections.
It is morally wrong to allow this to exist.
Please enact rule #4-637. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jack & Diane Fulton
