Our political system has been hijacked by special interests. We have a dollarocracy, not a democracy, and this is wrong. It leads us to making nearly all the wrong policy decisions, thus not solving problems (domestic or international) in a sensible, compassionate way that the majority of Americans actually support. Furthermore, it is not fair to disenfranchise the 99+% of the population that can't afford to buy legislators.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has the power to prevent future corruption of this nature by issuing a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending. Please consider being on the right side of history on this issue. There is so much at stake.

Thank you for considering my comment.
