A well-run country requires voters to make informed decisions. We need to know who is funneling money into the ad campaigns that influence election outcomes. Ultimately, Congress needs to amend the constitution to state that corporations are not people and to limit contributions of corporations to election campaigns and PAC's, but that is not the SEC's responsibility. For now, the SEC has the power and the moral obligation to reveal the invisible hand of big money in the election process.
