Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:
I know, I know, another one of these form emails. But I read it, edited it, and mean it. Thanks for listening!
I am writing to urge the SEC to require publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.
Both shareholders and the public should be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being supported and through what channels (superPACs, etc.). Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site, which would make it a one stop shop for this information, rather than having to dig through each company's website.
Thank you again for considering my comment. Hope you're day is looking up!
