Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:
I urge the SEC to require that publicly traded corporations publicly disclose all their political spending.
The infusion of anonymous corporate funding has "poisoned the well" of political discourse and campaigning in the 21st century.
Both shareholders and the public have a right to be fully informed as to how much a corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures can be posted promptly on the SEC's web site so that we all have the same information.
I know that learning how a corporation spends its money politically would have a strong influence on my decisions regarding stock purchases.
Thank you for considering my comment.
