I am writing the SEC to support Rulemaking Petition 4-637 and to request that the SEC adopt this rule.
As a small investor, it is important to know as much as possible about the companies in which I own stock. How they spend company funds, particularly for political purposes, is a key part of that information. It should be available to shareholders.
It is a basic precept of American securities law that shareholders should be given the information we need to evaluate our companies. This is certainly critically important information.

(I read your web site, and while it clearly states how to comment on a proposed rule, I could not find a clear instruction on how to comment on a petition. I hope this is the proper form.)
