Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

February 1, 2013

Dear Members of the SEC:

Secret corporate political spending is unconscionable, whether it's direct or indirect.

Strong disclosure rules are urgent, for shareholders, for the public, and for the survival of democracy.

Citizens United spat in the face of a century of legal wisdom and protections. But, since one vote made it law, that decision must be tempered.

The SEC has the power, and the responsibility to our nation, to do that. Please use that power wisely to enact comprehensive disclosure requirements.

Thank you for your consideration. I know my comment reflects the concerns of many, many Americans.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Schrader
