Securities and Exchange Comm.

Dear Securities and Exchange Comm.,

I am extremely concerned about the power given to corporations to act as if they were equal to citizens in funding candidates, when their power is infinitely greater because they are collectives making use of their customer's money without consent. I am asking you to approve of the new rules that require corporations to disclose the recipients of their political donations and spending. The foundations of our democracy are being undermined, and it is your job to help regulate corporations so their are not injurious to the welfare of the whole. We must depoliticize corporations. Their owners, investors, and employees can all make donations, like their customers, as citizens. Not even investors know who the corporations are "funding" as politial candidates under present laws as enacted by Citizen's United. I know you know this; all the more reason to let you know that the public is awake and aware too and looking for your decisive leadership in this matter, especially absent that leadership in Congress and the Judiciary.

I hope you will take into consideration my comment. I believe my opinion is no different from many citizens who haven't the time to write.

Regards,

Ramsay Raymond
