Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

November 27, 2012

Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

I encourage the Commission to require publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all political spending to their shareholders. It is absurd that I should even have to make this request. As a shareholder, I should have access to this information to make an informed decision regarding what stocks to purchase.

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site and in all corporate annual reports.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

Timothy McDermott
