To whom it may concern:
I want to urge you to develop rules requiring public corporations to disclose information on their political spending. This would include things like donations to the Chamber of Commerce, a group that then runs various political ads using the funds from memberships of corporations. The very word "public" strongly suggests that the public has a right to know.
Every member of the public as well as stockholders has a right to know how and how much public corporations are spending on political activities.
The current state of "super pacs" being able to spend unlimited funds anonymously harms our democracy and this would be a step in the right direction.
