Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

The American public is not stupid. While many of us choose to ignore it, those of us that are informed know that CEO's and major corporations like to use their wealth for political means.

How can we consider ourselves a First World country if CEO's are allowed to do all the under-handed, shady business that Citizens United v FEC has allowed? How can we call ourselves a democracy when really its the corporations using their wealth to dictate our government?

We deserve better! We deserve to know a company's motives. We deserve the right to make informed decisions about our purchases. We deserve to not be left in the dark!

So, as an American citizen, I urge you to require companies to disclose their political spending. Help strengthen this country's democracy! Help the US truly earn that title of First World country!

Sincerely,

Lindsay Davenport
