Subject: File No. 4-637
From: James Rice

September 7, 2012

To the Securities and Exchange Commission:

My name is Alan Rice, a citizen of this nation, and I am concerned about the state of my Republic.

We say that we strive for Democracy, yet we continue to alter our system to allow those with the most to use their weight to drown out the voices of the people. Not only that, but by using euphamisms for names of Super PACs and such, this activity is hidden from public scrutiny

.

For a democracy to work as a democracy, the playing field must be fair. We must be allowed to see who is pushing what ideas with their money in order to make informed decisions.

I am writing to urge the SEC to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their polutical spending. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site.

Thank you for considering my comment, let's try and get an informed citizenship going on again.

Sincerely,

James Rice
