The Securities and Exchange Commission
Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,
As a shareholder I feel it necessary to add my name to the list of
those who are asking you to require corporations to report their
political contributions. Nowhere in the Supreme Court ruling in the
Citizens United case does it mandate that corporations should keep this
information confidential. Currently they may have a right to contribute
to Political Action Committees, but they should not have a right to
work against my best interests without my knowledge. I have a right to
know if that is happening.
I urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue a rule requiring
publicly-traded corporations to disclose all their political spending.
Sincerely,
Warren Blechert
