Avanir is a heavily shorted company and recently 4 individuals signed a letter to Avanir from the Senate Special Committee on Aging questioning the pricing of their recently approved drug Nuedexta. These individuals take money from short selling hedge funds and the lawyers that represent these short selling hedge funds.
No doubt the Senator and the Congressmen were told to put together a letter (were probably given the letter and told to sign it) with total disregard for truth and facts and send it out to protect the short sellers interest.
This should be investigated by CNBC, FOX News, and would be perfect for the SEC to finally do their job and end this manipulation of stocks by Wall St and the Government.
I'm guessing if there was more transparency with individuals who were responsible for shorting this stock so heavily this never would have happened instead they hide behind Senators and Congressman and get away with it.
Investigate the following individuals for Stock Manipulation:
Senator Herb Kohl Wisconsin,
Congressman Henry Waxman California,
Congressman Frank Pallone New Jersey,
Congresswoman Diana DeGette Colorado
