The adage that "an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure" applies to the proposal to impose a fiduciary standard on Registered Representative to replace the current suitability standard.
Preventing, rathering than allowing damage to consumers to happen, is a more intelligent way to protect consumers. Therefore, I urge you to keep the suitablity standard that is now used and NOT adopt the fiduciary standard.
