I believe the SEC has done a very poor job of protecting the public and this move to regulate the insurance related broker-dealers does not serve the public. The regulations already in place are stingent enough and do not need any further reinforcement by the SEC. The current regulations look forward and the SEC regulations would look back. This is not protection to wit the Madoff and other situations. What good did a look back do? I urge you not to allow any further regulatory changes.
