Please register our strong support for new regulations for brokers. We believe the average consumer doesn't know the difference between brokers, dealers, and investment advisers--and often suffer the consequences of brokers and dealers not having consumers' best interests as a priority.
We support higher standards for brokers, including education requirements, requirements for brokers to limit "churning," and for brokers to inform clients/potential clients af the difference between investment advisors and brokers and dealers. This is particularly vital among older consumers who often get "ripped off" by financial dealers who only have their own interests at heart.
