In my experience a SEC policy enforcing fiduciary responsibility is overdue. I have an acquaintance whose account with her finacial advisor lost about half its value because of churning securities in and out of the account. I dodged a similar "Disciplined Approach to Investing" bullet with a major brokerage firm. Some policy which protects investors brom being taken to the cleaners needs to be put in place.
