I am a supporter of a fiduciary standard for brokers who provide personalized investment advice to retail clients. As a 25 year veteran, and very active in my local FPA chapter, I feel the standard that we as CFP's have always self imposed through our regulatory FPA overseer, should be applied under a fiduciary standard for brokers who provide personalized investment advice to retail clients.
