Support for SEC Rule Making Petition File No. 4-605
Dear Ms. Murphy:
I support this petition and believe that it would be especially helpful to the African American community where access to capital has historically been constricted, resulting in fewer small businesses and significantly higher unemployment than other segments of society.
This rule change has enormous potential benefit for the African American community to amass investment capital in small amounts from a large number of people to create more small businesses and increase job opportunities.
These benefits far exceed the risk to individual investors which can be limited by a maximum investment restriction. Although the petition suggests a $100 maximum per investor and $100,000 per offering, I would support an individual limit of $500 and maximum $500,000 per offering.
Thank you for your consideration.
