I believe that the elimination of 12b-1 fees would ultimately hurt the client. Yes, it true that they may save a small amount of money up front, however an active advisor would then need to charge a fee to be compensated for his or her advise. Fees in my experience are hire then 12b-1 f3ees. Please do not eliminate 12b-1.
