I am in opposition of any proposal to eliminate 12b-1 fees. The amount of income a registered representative makes from 12b-1 fees is very modest, however it allows the representative to provide service to their clients without having to charge an hourly fee.

Clients who have had the purpose of this fee disclosed to them are not in opposition to it, either. So I would be in favor of a movement that would require more disclosure to clients about the fees involved in a mutual fund and the purpose of those said fees.

Thank you for your time.
