SEC:

Please adopt a rule that would help identify and then prosecute or fine individuals and entities that spam private citizens via fax and e-mail to promote stocks and other securities. I cannot tell you how many times I have received that kind of garbage -- completely unsolicited and absolutely unwanted -- and tried to contact the sender but discovered that the phone number provided was wrong, or no one picked up, or it was forever busy. Or even when I did contact the sender, the faxes or e-mails kept on coming -- from the same company or promoter, but via a different fax or e-mail address (graphics content/wording the same, so it was obvious that it was from the same source).

I am sick and tired of having MY fax paper and MY fax ink/toner wasted for communications that I don't want and didn't ask for. I do not want to be marketed to involuntarily in the privacy of my own home. And I shouldn't have to call over and over and OVER again to ask that my phone number or e-mail address be removed from their target lists.

PLEASE establish rules that will protect me and other Americans from this intrusion on our privacy.

Thank you.
