Everyone in the industry knows the competitive advantage that exists based upon latency. What IEX proposes will alleviate this and create a flat time frame for everyone. Furthermore to increase integrity and to bring back speculators, which is an absolute necessity for liquidity, the SEC needs to level the playing field and not give those with the highest connections in government and those with the most capital to have an unfair competitive advantage. In an industry that affects so many people, it is unfortunate that our government has allowed the financial market places to be manipulated by one or two entities.
