I strongly encourage the SEC to approve IEXs application to become a fully licensed U.S. securities exchange. Doing so presents an opportunity for the SEC to make a statement about protecting long term investors over short term professional intermediaries. As an investor interested in fair treatment of my orders, I will certainly use the IEX router to eliminate the possibility of having my orders impacted by certain types of speed-enabled trading strategies (aka latency arbitrage).
