Bryan Wood was named Director of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs in July 2017.
Before joining the SEC, Mr. Wood spent 10 years on Capitol Hill, most recently as Senior Advisor and Counsel at the House Financial Services Committee. Previously, he served as Counsel for the Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Securities, and Investment, and as Legislative Director to Rep. Robert Hurt, former vice chairman of the Capital Markets and Government-Sponsored Enterprises Subcommittee.
Mr. Wood received his J.D. from Georgetown University, magna cum laude. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia.
