Lisa A. Skrzycki currently serves as Acting Ombuds in the Office of the Investor Advocate. In this role, she is responsible for evaluating the potential effects of proposed SEC and SRO rules on retail investors, acting as a confidential liaison between retail investors and the Commission, and addressing retail investor inquiries and complaints about the SEC and the SROs it oversees.

Ms. Skrzycki began her SEC service in 2012 as a student intern in the Division of Trading and Markets, Office of Trading Practices. She returned to the Office of Trading Practices after graduation, where her work focused on the drafting and implementation of the Volcker Rule and other matters of market integrity. Prior to joining the Office as in 2022, Ms. Skrzycki spent several years in the Office of Investor Education and Advocacy, providing advice and assistance to retail investors on a wide variety of matters.

Ms. Skrzycki received her law degree with honors from California Western School of Law in San Diego and her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Pittsburgh. A first-generation professional, Ms. Skrzycki is grateful for the opportunity to serve America’s Main Street investors in this role.
