Explanation of Responses: |
1. The securities reported as beneficially owned by Palo Alto Investors, LLC, a California limited liability company ("PAI"), include securities also beneficially owned by the following PAI affiliates (collectively, the "PAI Affiliates"): Palo Alto Investors, a California corporation, William L. Edwards and Anthony Joonkyoo Yun, MD. PAI is the general partner and investment adviser of investment limited partnerships and other accounts that hold these securities (the "Funds") for the benefit of the investors in the Funds. Palo Alto Investors is the manager of PAI. Mr. Edwards is the controlling shareholder of Palo Alto Investors. Dr. Yun is the President of PAI, LLC and Palo Alto Investors. |
2. These securities are indirectly beneficially owned by PAI in its capacity as general partner and investment adviser of the Funds, and by Palo Alto Investors, Mr. Edwards and Mr. Yun as the control persons of those entities. Dr. Peter Hill, an employee of PAI, is a director of the Issuer. Each of PAI and the PAI Affiliates disclaim beneficial ownership of these securities except to the extent of that person's pecuniary interest therein. Further, PAI and the PAI Affiliates are filing this Form 3 jointly, but not as members of a group, and each of them expressly disclaims membership in a group. |
