In response to the request of Mr. Nassef Sawiris disclosed in the Schedule 13D/A filed by NNS Holding with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 15, 2008, Texas Industries, Inc. has communicated to him that its Board of Directors has considered his request and does not believe it to be in the best long-term interest of all shareholders.
