Retirement Benefit Plans Our defined benefit pension plans and postretirement medical plan are described in Note 15 of our annual report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2018. We have contributed $0.1 million and $0.3 million during the third quarter of 2019 and $0.3 million and $0.7 million during the first nine months of 2019 to our pension plans and postretirement medical plan, respectively. We contributed less than $0.1 million and $0.1 million during the third quarter of 2018 and $0.2 million and $0.7 million during the first nine months of 2018 to our pension plans and postretirement medical plan, respectively. Net benefit costs for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2019 and 2018 were not material.
