Employee Benefits	14. Employee Benefits The Company has a qualified defined contribution plan that covers all U.S. employees under Section 401(k) of the Internal Revenue Code. Under this plan, the Company's stipulated basic contribution matches a portion of the participants' contributions based upon a defined schedule for GSE Performance Improvement Solutions employees. The Company's contributions to the plan were approximately $207,000 and $268,000 for the years ended December 31, 2016 and 2015, respectively.
