11. RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLANS

Substantially all of our employees in the United States are eligible to participate in a qualified defined contribution 401(k) plan. Participants may elect to have a specified portion of their salary contributed to the plan, and we may make discretionary contributions to the plan. ISS HK and ISS UK are obligated to contribute to certain employee pension plans. We made contributions totaling $84,000, $108,000 and $100,000 to the plans for 2015, 2014 and 2013, respectively.
