Subsequent events	Subsequent events Subsequent events were evaluated up to February 14, 2024, which is the date the Consolidated Financial Statements included in this Annual Report were approved. On January 24, 2024 a total dividend for the year 2023 of €6.10 per ordinary share was announced. Subsequently, an interim dividend of €1.45 per ordinary share will be made payable on February 14, 2024. Recognizing this interim dividend and the two interim dividends of €1.45 per ordinary share paid in 2023, this leads to a final dividend proposal to the General Meeting of €1.75 per ordinary share.

The entire disclosure for significant events or transactions that occurred after the balance sheet date through the date the financial statements were issued or the date the financial statements were available to be issued. Examples include: the sale of a capital stock issue, purchase of a business, settlement of litigation, catastrophic loss, significant foreign exchange rate changes, loans to insiders or affiliates, and transactions not in the ordinary course of business.
