Pension and Other Postretirement Contributions

The Company contributed $80 million of DTE Energy common stock to its pension plans in the second quarter of 2012, consisting of approximately 1.3 million shares valued at an average price of $59.94 per share. At the discretion of management, and depending upon financial market conditions, the Company may make up to an additional $140 million contribution to its pension plans in 2012.

In January 2012, the Company contributed $140 million to its other postretirement benefit plans. At the discretion of management, the Company may make up to an additional $120 million contribution to its other postretirement benefit plans in 2012.
