Goodwill	Goodwill As a result of the Merger on February 12, 2010, the Company recorded $14.8 billion of goodwill. Subsequent to the Merger, the Company has recorded additional amounts of goodwill as a result of acquisitions made by its non-rail logistics subsidiary. During the years ended December 31, 2019, 2018 and 2017, no impairment losses were incurred and there were no accumulated impairment losses related to goodwill at both December 31, 2019 and 2018. As of both December 31, 2019 and 2018, the carrying value of goodwill was $14.9 billion.
