INVENTORIES

Inventories at December 31, 2018 and 2017 consisted of the following:

On a regular basis, the Company evaluates its inventory balances for excess quantities and obsolescence by analyzing demand, inventory on hand, sales levels and other information. Based on these evaluations, inventory balances are reserved, if necessary. The reserve for inventory was $2,575 and $2,315 at December 31, 2018 and 2017, respectively.
