On August 19, 2008, the board of directors of Movie Gallery, Inc. (“Company”) appointed C. J. Gabriel, Jr. to fill the vacancy on the Company’s board of directors created by the previous resignation of Joe T. Malugen. Mr. Gabriel, the Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company, will serve as a director until the election of directors by the stockholders at the next annual stockholders meeting.
