The Company is organized in a single operating segment for purposes of making operating decisions and assessing performance. Revenues from the United States to customers in the following geographical areas for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2011 and 2010, and the location of long-lived assets as of September 30, 2011 and December 31, 2010, are summarized as follows:

For the three months ended September 30, 2011 and 2010, the Company did not have any customers that accounted for 10% or more of total revenues. As of September 30, 2011, the Company did not have any customers that accounted for 10% or more of the accounts receivable balance. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had one customer that accounted for 13% of the accounts receivable balance.
 
The Company recorded an expense of approximately $0.4 million during the three months ended September 30, 2011attributable to an increase in the Company’s accounts receivable allowances. Due to cash collections of previously reserved accounts receivable balances, a benefit of approximately $0.3 million during the nine months ended September 30, 2011. During the three and nine months ended September 30, 2010, the Company recorded an expense of approximately $0.8 million and an expense of approximately $2.0 million, respectively. These amounts are included within revenues in each respective period in the accompanying condensed consolidated statements of operations.
