Defined Contribution Plan	Defined Contribution Plan On January 1, 1995, Wave adopted the Wave Systems Corp. 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan, a defined contribution plan, to which substantially all employees can contribute. Employees of Wave become eligible immediately on employment. Wave has the option to make discretionary matching contributions; no contributions were made in 2014, 2013 or 2012.
