The Company provides noncontributory pension and various healthcare and life insurance benefits to most employees and retirees. The Company has contributed $24.1 to the master pension trust during 2015, completing its required contributions for the year. Of this total, $1.0 was contributed in the first half of 2015 and the remaining $23.1 was contributed in July. The Company does not expect to make any additional contributions during 2015. Based on current funding projections, no contributions to the master pension trust are required for 2016 and 2017, though future funding projections could be affected by differences between expected and actual returns on plan assets, actuarial data and assumptions relating to plan participants, the interest rate used to measure the pension obligations and changes to regulatory funding requirements.
