16. EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT BENEFIT PLAN

The Company maintains a 401(k) defined contribution retirement plan for its eligible U.S. employees. The Company terminated matching contributions on April 18, 2009 and reinstated them on March 1, 2011. Costs charged to operations in connection with the 401(k) plan during 2013, 2012, and 2011 aggregated $934, $876, and $640, respectively.
