Note 5 - Retention

A retention receivable is the amount withheld by a customer until a contract is completed. Retention receivables of $2.7 million and $2.8 million were included in the balance of trade accounts receivable as of January31,2017 and 2016, respectively. A retention receivable of $3.2 million was included in the balance of other long-term assets as of January31,2017 and 2016 due to the long-term nature of the receivables.
