ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF A NEW DIRECTOR AND CHIEF
EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mountain Grove, Missouri (May 24, 2011) – First Bancshares, Inc. (The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC - FstBksh: “FBSI”) (the “Company”), today announced that R. Bradley Weaver has been named Chief Executive Officer, Director and Chairman of the Board of the Company effective May 20, 2011. He replaces Thomas M. Sutherland as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Sutherland will remain a director of the Company.  As previously announced, Mr. Weaver was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Director and Chairman of the Board of First Home Savings Bank, the Company’s financial institution subsidiary, effective May 16, 2011. Today’s announcement by the Company completes the anticipated actions that were disclosed in the Company’s press release and Form 8-K dated May 10, 2011. Mr. Lannie Crawford will continue to serve as President of the Company.
