As of February 1, 2014 and February 2, 2013, the Company had an allowance to write-down inventories to the lower of cost or market of $23.4 million and $20.4 million, respectively.

If inventory is stated above cost, accrued net losses on firm purchase commitments for inventory and losses resulting from valuing inventory at the lower-of-cost-or-market may also be included.
