Note 3 - Property, Equipment and Software

Property, equipment and software consists of the following (in thousands):

We recognized $3.4 million, $3.1 million and $3.4 million in depreciation expense associated with our property and equipment in 2022, 2021 and 2020, respectively. We recognized $2.8 million, $2.2 million, and $1.4 million in amortization of capitalized software development costs in 2022, 2021 and 2020, respectively. We capitalized $5.3 million, $5.0 million and $6.0 million of software development costs in 2022, 2021 and 2020, respectively.
